Associate in Fine Arts Program Outcomes

Technical Competence

Students will demonstrate technical competence in art foundations.

Assessment:  Through their portfolio, students will demonstrate strong foundational skills in representation of Space, Color, and Composition in various media.

 

Aesthetic Judgment

Students will judge aesthetic quality of their work and reflect on their own artistic identity.

Assessment:  Students will participate in critiques, write reflections about their own work and work by peers, and create their own Artist Statement.

Commitment to Artistic Quality

Students will prove their commitment to artistic quality and professionalism.

Assessment: Students will provide records of participation in or curation of exhibitions; marketing and self-promotional materials; mock interview; membership in professional organizations; video of process of creating art; video of Artist Talk.

 

Knowledge of Art History

Assessment:  Students will exhibit their knowledge of art history through a paper created in ART 114/115.
