Micaylah Cunningham
Micaylah Cunningham, a graduate of SPCC’s Associates in Arts Program, has been accepted into UNC Charlotte’s Business Honors Program (BHP) in the Belk College of Business. According to the BHP website, acceptance into the program is highly competitive; students must demonstrate “…proven academic excellence, leadership and community service, commitment and dedication to the higher learning process, and the appearance of emotional and intellectual integrity" ("UNCC Honors"). Ms. Cunningham used her SP ePortfolio, as evidence of her excellence and commitment to learning.
Janica Horne
Janica Horne graduated with an Associate in Arts degree and transferred to North Carolina A&T University where she was accepted into their honors program. The program is "designed for high-achieving and exceptionally motivated undergraduates" and "...offers student-centered learning experiences that promote intellectual growth, cultural appreciation, professional focus, leadership development and civic participation ("Honors at NC A&T").
